First Fitting (Mexico wedding gown)

Yup yup! i'm already done with my 1st fitting for my gown in  Mexico last July 7...Funny! but I feel so nervous before I tried it......hahaha.... But hey! I so love it.. I so love the drapings and the flow of the fabric....the only thing that I hate was.....Errrrrrrrr I gained extra pounds! whooooooah that made the gown a little bit tigher than it should be..... So I asked Jef if he can wait for me until I somehow lose some flabs! (asa pa talaga ako)! Glad Jef let me....Hmmmmm ....At the moment I doubt I lose some...huhu but I'm still hoping!*wish me luck*..... If not He don't have any choice but to adjust it! :(
I have some pictures taken during the fitting (courtesy of sis Irene) .... but since Alan has this belief about seeing his bride with the wedding dress on before the wedding  day is a bad luck.... so I decided not to share it until our wedding is over! :) yeah so Pinoy lang ang peg! :P
I just can't wait until it's done :D wiiiiihhhh hapiness <3

My gown for our Mex's wedding by Jef is LOVE

Have I told you  that I almost call  our wedding off?
Yes you read it right.....It's because I'm too disappointed after knowing  that my in laws can't come and be with us on our Big Day...At first I don't know the main reason that led me to felt bad but when I finally got the chance to talk to my mother in law I accepted the reason instantly since it' s a  health related  and a totally acceptable reason at all...From there I let it go!

Before , Alan and I got an idea of... Why not get married in a church in Mexico (very simple) so we can just have a renewal of vows instead by the beach here in the Philippines? This thought excites us since it can make our dream of having a beach wedding come true.....

We are undecided about that idea but when in laws confirmed their absence in our wedding here we decide to pursue it and I'm happy they are all excited about it!...So yes, we will have a total of 3 weddings in span of 1 1/2 year, how cool is that?

Well since we can't afford two big weddings, we planned to have a super intimate wedding with maximum of 50 guests. We will invite  close relatives and friends only. We are still in search of suppliers but MIL promised me she will help with all those stuffs.Yey!

And because Mother in law can't come I asked Jef (our designer) if he can make my MIL's gown as my simple wedding dress in Mexico's wedding instead?  And I'm so happy that it's ok with him and even sketched a very nice gown for me.Well it's more simple than the one I'll use for our wedding here but gee I so love it too!!!! I just love Jef  more because of this......

Excited to see it!?

Check his sketch below! :)

lovely isn't it? :D
he will make a birdcage veil for it too...

How do you like it?
Don't ask me cause I super love it! And guess what?
He is making it already and I can't wait to see the final output...:D

Spell HAPPINESS! ^_^

Have a happy day y'all! Until next update!

Jef Albea - Wedding gown designer : BOOKED

Hi friends!!!
My week has been so busy and the metropolitan life kept my fingers frozen that made me missed more than a week to write even just one post...Pardon me for that!

It's a roller coaster week...
Happy, sad, happy sad....
As much as I wanted to give you all the details I guess I will just make you all confuse , so for the moment lemme just share you one of the best news of the week.... after half year of searching I finally met and booked my wedding gown designer.

He is Jef Albea....

Jef was referred to me by a w@w friend Wynn ( thank you sistah! ) and after I saw his site I just have a good feeling about his creations. I was thrilled so I visited him in his place with Bff Charm last April 21, Saturday. He drew a sketch for me basing on my pegs and guess what? I am really tempted to book him right then and there due to excitement hahaha  but since I have to wait for Alan’s approval I told him give me until Wednesday to decide. That same day after i reported  how's the meet up and how I love Jef's sketch for me Alan gave me the approval and even decided to book him as our female entourage gown designer too....tee hee!

Tuesday morning was not really good so to change my mood I shoot him a sms asking he is free anytime that day so I can book him and I'm glad he has spare time to accommodate me in the afternoon....

And there you go... I booked him and we signed the contract! In one sitting he made the female entourage gown sketches as well us Alan's suit that really made me happy. I even forgot how bad my morning was...
I so love Jef na and he is so guapo pa!.... :)

I want to keep the surprise factor here sana but then I just can't resist to share his sketches for us... anyways it's still gonna be different in the actual  output....so bakit ba? (palusot pa ako) :P
So without further ado...let me share you my bridal gown in the making.....: D

let's start from here!

Our perfect picture from his iphone :)

That's it!

For a designer, Jef's rate is a way affordable to other known designers in town but since he is still young and have lots of ideas in mind I believe he can make my dream gown into reality. You can tell him your budget and he can adjust well still depending on your pegs. With the rapport I can say I love him to bits, for me that's a big plus. I know I can't rate him just yet.... not until our wedding is done but you know what since I met him he just made me feel so excited and happy looking forward to see myself wearing that gown!Yiiiihhhh!

Ok....will park na...bye for now! ~ ANNA

Note: Jef can draw a sketch for you on the spot  but then he can't give it to you not until you book him... In that case I almost  book him on the spot! LOL

Oh my Gown!!

It’s almost 9 months to go before our Big day and I’m still dubious to whom I’ll entrust the creation of my wedding gown nor what kind or style I will end up to! It’s just so difficult for me to choose. There are lots of great designs I found as inspirations in the web though I’m actually hooked to ruffle and frou frou gowns.

Come on! I believed all the brides out there want to wear the gown of her dream. Wearing a colored (light orange) gown is one of my choices but after reading the article about Archbishop Tagle urges removal of frivolities from weddings made me think of dropping that rebellious idea. With a church ceremony and a beach front reception I wanted my gown to be simple, light but elegant but still will match our Mexican beach theme. Having a 2-in-1 gown (something like detachable)  is actually in my mind but I don’t know if it’s possible, hmmmmm I guess I have to leave it to my future designer, good luck!

I don’t know if it’s right to call a wedding gown dilemma but it’s just so hard for me to decide. To give you an idea of what kind of designs I’m torn to, I have my wedding gown inspirations below.

1.
only with these four I'm already confuse.....YAY!
2.
This one is Alan's choice

3.
Cameron Diaz style! why not?
4.
i find it more Mexican, I dunno why? :D

5.
it's too sexy for my body, too sexy....

6.
i love the details of the back view...hmmm

7.

simple but elegant

There you go! Don't you think I have the reason to be confused? :D I know it depends on the bride's body type to find the perfect gown design  but keeping it aside and you're in my shoe  to choose among these gowns, which one you'll choose?1a,1b,1c,1d,2,3,4,5,6, or 7? Oh my Gown!!! Help me folks! :D

Okay let me start! Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Mo, catch a tiger by it's toe. LOL

PS: Thanks to Mr. Google for sharing me these lovely images.
